About Us
Robotic Pyeloplasty

A blockage where the kidney drains into the ureter, called the pelviureteric junction (PUJ) obstruction, can cause pain, recurrent infections, and gradual damage to kidney function. Robotic pyeloplasty is a minimally invasive surgical repair that corrects this obstruction with success rates of around 95%, and is regarded as the gold-standard treatment for PUJ obstruction.

Robotic Radical Cystectomy

For muscle-invasive bladder cancer, complete removal of the bladder remains the most effective treatment. Robotic radical cystectomy combines the curative intent of this major operation with the advantages of minimally invasive surgery with smaller incisions, reduced blood loss, and a faster recovery. It is major surgery, and our team supports you through a structured recovery programme before and after the operation.

Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumour (TURBT)

Blood in the urine is one of the most important symptoms to investigate promptly. TURBT is the cornerstone procedure for diagnosing and treating bladder tumours, an endoscope is passed through the urethra to remove abnormal tissue from the bladder wall under direct vision. It provides diagnosis and treatment in a single procedure.

TURP – Transurethral Resection of the Prostate

TURP has been the established surgical standard for benign prostate obstruction for decades and remains one of the most effective treatments for men with significant urinary symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate. Performed through the urethra without any incisions, it removes the obstructing prostate tissue and provides durable, long-lasting relief for most men. Modern bipolar or plasma TURP uses saline irrigation, making the procedure safer than older techniques.

GreenLight Laser Prostatectomy

GreenLight laser therapy (photoselective vaporisation of the prostate, or PVP) is an effective, minimally invasive treatment for an enlarged prostate. Using a precisely targeted high-powered laser, obstructing prostate tissue is vaporised through an endoscope with minimal bleeding. It is particularly suited to patients on blood-thinning medication who may not be safe candidates for conventional options.

Robotic Simple Prostatectomy

For men with very large prostates causing significant urinary obstruction, robotic simple prostatectomy offers a minimally invasive surgical solution. Unlike radical prostatectomy (which is for cancer), simple prostatectomy removes only the inner obstructing portion of the prostate, preserving the outer capsule. The robotic approach delivers the outcomes of this established operation through small incisions, with reduced blood loss and a faster recovery than the traditional open approach.

Kidney Stones

Kidney stones are a common cause of sudden, severe loin pain and one of the most frequent urological emergency presentations. Treatment depends on the size, position and composition of the stone.

Bladder Stones

Bladder stones account for around 5% of urinary tract stones and are almost always a sign of an underlying problem, such as difficulty emptying the bladder. Treating both the stone and its cause gives the best long-term result. They can present as a change in urinary symptoms, blood in the urine, recurrent urinary infections, or be found on imaging.

Ureteric Stricture

A ureteric stricture is a narrowing of the ureter that obstructs urine flow and, if untreated, can gradually damage the kidney. Most are caused by previous surgery or instrumentation, stones, radiation or scarring. It can be incidentally detected on blood tests or imaging, or patients may have flank pain or recurrent infections.

Urethral Stricture

A urethral stricture is a narrowing of the urethra caused by scarring, leading to obstruction of urine flow. It may present as reduced urinary stream, infections or pain.

PUJ Obstruction

Pelvi-ureteric junction (PUJ) obstruction is a blockage where the kidney joins the ureter, which can cause pain, infections and stones, and can also reduce kidney function. This can be something you are born with, often due to a crossing blood vessel, or something that develops later in life.

Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH)

An enlarged prostate is a normal part of ageing, affecting around half of men over 60. Treatment is tailored to how much the symptoms bother you and, wherever possible, preserves sexual function.
